MUSIC

Daniel Gaisford

Saturday, November 8, 7:30PM

Lorraine Boccardo Theater

Internationally acclaimed cellist Daniel Gaisford brings his electrifying artistry to Kayenta for an evening that promises to move and inspire. Praised for his “formidable technique and formidable mind,” Gaisford is celebrated for performances that combine emotional depth with breathtaking virtuosity. His playing—described as “rich, piercing, and profoundly human”—has captivated audiences around the world, from New York to London.

With an extraordinary ability to draw a hundred colors from a single note, Gaisford transforms the cello into a voice of profound expression. His commanding presence and deep musical insight invite listeners into a world where every phrase tells a story.

He will be joined by celebrated local pianist Christian Bohnenstengel, whose refined artistry provides the perfect complement to Gaisford’s powerful interpretation. Together, they will present a program that showcases the drama, lyricism, and intimacy of the cello and piano repertoire.
