The Center for the Arts at Kayenta proudly presents The First Annual Kayenta New Play Lab, an exciting event that brings together theater artists and audiences to witness the creation and development of new work. Selected by a panel of local and nationally-recognized experts, six talented playwrights from St. George, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, and Cedar City will participate in a 10-day development residency. Following this intensive period, their plays will be presented as staged readings, accompanied by thought-provoking discussions and opportunities to meet the artists. The Kayenta New Play Lab not only fosters creativity and connection but also offers audiences a chance to immerse themselves in fresh, original stories that reflect the ever-changing world we live in.
