Join us for our first Voyager Lecture of the season! This year’s theme is Encounters with the Future. Our speakers during the 2023/2024 season will share insights and expertise about the future of health, wellness, finance, and much more.
In September, Dr. Ginamarie Foglia will share current insights from science, medicine, public health & exercise physiology to inform your future choices for living well and thriving.
Dr. Ginamarie Foglia, DO, MPH, FACP has over 27 years of healthcare experience as an internationally known subject matter expert in infectious disease, internal medicine, public health, clinical trial research and development and medical education. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Dr. Foglia serves as a Senior Advisor, Subject Matter Expert & Strategist for Vaccines/Biologics, Shabas Solutions, supporting the U.S. Health & Human Services (HHS), Biomedical Advanced Research & Development Authority (BARDA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in infectious disease and public health countermeasures. She also is an Adjunct Professor at Rocky Vista University College of Medicine in southern UT, where she teaches Principles of Clinical Medicine and mentors medical and graduate students in pursuing careers in biotechnology, industry, academia, and public service. As part of her passion and expertise in overall wellness and resilience, she is a certified Personal Trainer focusing on the over 50-year-old and cancer survivor populations. Per her love of the outdoors and functional fitness, she is an Adventure Guide at Red Mountain Resort, Ivins, UT. Dr. Foglia is also a Veteran of the US Army Medical Corps attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She also enjoys volunteering as a Board Member for the Kayenta Center for the Arts.
Dr. Foglia received her doctoral degree from the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine and her Master of Public Health from Yale University and completed an Infectious Disease/Public Health Fellowship at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
