The Committee invites established and emerging regional artists to submit their original artwork that responds to the exhibition’s theme. \nThe exhibitions are free and open to the public during the Center’s business hours as well as during performances and special events. \nFound Objects is open to 2- and 3-D artwork. \nABOUT THE THEME: \nDo you collect interesting objects or unusual images and think\, “I will make something with this someday.” Use your ideas sparked by random finds and a variety of mediums (paint\, textiles\, paper\, clay\, wood\, etc.) to create your artwork for this eclectic exhibit. \nSUBMISSION DATE: October 25\, 2023 \nTo learn more about submitting artwork\, click HERE. \nEXHIBITION RUNS: November 1-December 27\, 2023\nWE BELIEVE THAT ART\, IN ALL FORMS\, ENHANCES OUR LIVES AND DEMANDS DISPLAY.

Presenting Mike and Elaine playing and singing all those greatest hits from the ‘60’s\, ‘70’s and ‘80’s. \nAfter years of playing throughout the U.S. Mike & Elaine\, combined their talents to become the dynamic duo they are today. With masterful guitar\, saxophone\, bass\, and vocals\, they easily move through an array of styles and genres providing a little something for everyone. \nMike provides guitar\, bass\, mandolin\, saxophone and vocals. Elaine offers bass\, guitar\, keyboard and vocals. Together they cover and write music\, exploring a wide eclectic range of musical styles from the very familiar to originals in many genres. \nIn their professional careers\, they have shared the stage and opened for artists like Mitch Rider\, Dan Fogelberg\, Blood Sweat & Tears\, Buddy Miles & others. They permanently relocated and established roots in Southern Utah in 2012. A sample of Mike’s current “Steampunk Guitar Series” is currently on display in Juniper Sky Gallery in Kayenta. DESCRIPTION:STORYTELLING \nThe Night’s Theme: BUSTED \nCoyote Tales are live\, open-mic style storytelling events with amateur and experienced storytellers. Each event has a theme on which stories are to be based. Potential storytellers may address the theme in any way they choose. Prior to the event\, storytellers craft their true\, on-theme story\, practice the telling (5-7 minutes or less)\, and work on eliminating excess detail to nail the perfect ending. When the doors open\, potential storytellers put their name in the hat in hopes of being chosen to share their tale.
