Escape the sizzling summer heat in July by attending a curated film series featuring some of the most compelling independent films recently released.
The Center For the Arts at Kayenta is proud to announce the return of the CineSizzle Independent Film Series over three weeks in July, with a total of 12 independent films on screen. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online at KayentaArts.org or at the door. A full CineSizzle pass is available at KayentaArts.org for $100, which includes a 2024/2025 season membership for Kayenta Arts Foundation ($50 value).
About the Film:
Embodied examines the stories of five individuals as they combat weight stigma in a world that fears fatness. The film follows a drag queen using humor to unravel discomfort around their weight and queerness; a mermaid reconciling with generational fatphobia; a midwife working to dismantle fat bias in reproductive health; a former linebacker navigating the unclear relationship between health and size; and a CEO creating space and community for the millions of Americans with fat bodies.
