Escape the sizzling summer heat in July by attending a curated film series featuring some of the most compelling independent films recently released.
The Center For the Arts at Kayenta is proud to announce the return of the CineSizzle Independent Film Series over three weeks in July, with a total of 12 independent films on screen. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online at KayentaArts.org or at the door. A full CineSizzle pass is available at KayentaArts.org for $100, which includes a 2024/2025 season membership for Kayenta Arts Foundation ($50 value).
About the Film:
This French historical romantic film features the gourmet named Dodin Bouffant, a character based on novelist Marcel Rouff’s protagonist in the The Passionate Epicure. Set in 1895, the story features how Dodin has been running his popular restaurant for 20 years. Its success is helped by the presence of his chef named Eugenie, who herself is revered for her excellence in the industry. The film narrates how the two developed feelings for each other as they went about their professional lives. (2024)
