Telah Loureiro was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. After high school, she studied photography at City College of San Francisco before relocating to Tauranga, New Zealand, where she completed a two-year Theology program at South Pacific Bible College.
Upon returning to California, Telah began working in the cosmetology industry. Her professional and academic journey has been as diverse as her interests. Driven by a love of exploration and new experiences, she later relocated to Washington State, where she spent four years photographing paleontological specimens for the world’s largest online fossil retailer.
While in Washington, Telah earned her Master Certified Health Coach credential through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, specializing in high-carbohydrate, plant-based nutrition. She also trained in Muay Thai, Boxing, and Filipino martial arts, ultimately earning her green belt certification through United Source Muay Thai.
After nearly five years in the Pacific Northwest, Telah set her sights on a sunnier setting and moved to St. George, Utah, where she has lived since October 2021. Drawn to the area’s vibrant arts scene, she found a natural home at the Center for the Arts at Kayenta. Her multifaceted background in communication, storytelling, and community engagement prepared her for her role as Development Manager, where she fosters meaningful connections and supports fundraising efforts.
In her free time, she advocates for animal rights and enjoys life with her partner, Sean, and their beloved blind Labrador, Ellie.
